The Universitas Pertamina Temperature Control Device (UPTCD) is a take-home lab device that allows students to do independent hands-on learning in control systems, dynamics, optimization methods, thermodynamics, and many other subjects. It is very simple in its design. The development goal is to create a device that is low-cost yet sufficiently powerful for control implementation. Thus, we select thermal process since thermal process is typically slow.
